Medicare Supplement Insurance
Just as Medicare is really complicated, Medicare Supplement Insurance plans are too. Because Medicare coverage is not complete, the vast majority of people (86%) choose to buy some form of additional coverage. Medicare Supplemental insurance policies, or “Medigap” plans, come in different varieties. In most states, the standardized plans are labeled by letters: A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M, and N (plans E, H, I, and J are no longer offered.) However in a few states (Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Massachusetts) they are handled differently. These plans are standardized; that means that all the coverage options are the same no matter which company administers the policy. Discrepancies arise in which option you choose, how much you pay, and who administers the plan.
Experts in Wisconsin Medicare Medigap Insurance Policies
ePlatinumHealth has decades of experience working with the particular Medicare Supplement, or “Medigap,” policies available in Wisconsin. We can help you understand the Basic Plan and help you determine what riders you need. Riders can cover Part A & Part B deductibles, and Part B excess charges, for instance. Wisconsin Medigap plans can also help with Original Medicare costs on a 25% or 50% cost-sharing basis.

Customizing Your Medicare Supplement Insurance and Your Budget
It’s important to understand the different options open to you and think through the potential pros and cons of each. Just because a particular plan has low premiums does not necessarily mean it is the best choice. We spend time with you talking about what your present health and financial situation are, and what you can reasonably expect in both areas. It is our goal to “arm you with information” so you have the knowledge and are confident in the decision you make.

Medicare Prescription Drug Plans
The high cost of prescription drugs is not news for many of us. You know how important it is to have your medication, and at ePlatinum Health, we make sure your life-saving drugs aren’t financially threatening. We will look at your current prescription drug plan and help you determine whether it is creditable. That’s the first step to knowing which Medicare Prescription Plan you should have.
Timing Is Essential
The enrollment period for a Medicare Prescription Plan begins three months before your 65th birthday and ends three months after it. If you do not enroll in a Medicare Prescription Plan and do not have creditable prescription drug coverage, you will be subject to an ongoing penalty. That penalty will be added to your monthly Part D premium forever. Let the professionals at ePlatinum Health help you start off right.
Finding the Right Plan
It can be difficult to weigh the costs and benefits of the various options available – you can choose a Medicare Prescription Plan that has all of your drugs on its formulary, that has a low co-pay, that has no restrictions for the medications that you use, or one that even provides mail order pricing. The experts at ePlatinum Health can guide you through the decision-making process so that you have the Medicare Prescription Plan that makes the most sense for you.
Cultivating Long-Term Relationships
At ePlatinum Health, we’re committed to personal, long-term relationship with our clients. One of our professionals will come to your home to discuss your needs and options. Are you likely to find yourself in the “donut hole” in 2017? If you spend around $300 a month for your medicine, you may. Our experts may help you avoid it, or minimize its negative effects.
